Foodbank

Stockport Foodbank logo

In response to the increasing needs that have been identified in our area, HGBC, in conjunction with other Churches in the area have opened Stockport Foodbank. Working closely with the Trussell Trust, the Foodbank offers emergency food parcels to those within our community who have been referred to us by the Social Services or other frontline agencies.

By working closely with such agencies the Foodbank is directing much needed help to families who are struggling to put food on the table. For people on low incomes, a sudden crisis – redundancy, benefit delay or even an unexpected bill can mean going hungry. Stockport Foodbank can now provide emergency food and support local people in crisis and so ease them through their times of difficulty.

Stockport Foodbank is base at 4 centres HGBC, St Mark’s Bredbury, theJunction in Heaton Norris and The Bairstow Centre in Reddish and is open 6 days a week.
