Foodbank

With over 9,000 Stockport children living in households defined as living in poverty, HGBC, in conjunction with other Churches runand operate Stockport Foodbank. Working closely with the Trussell Trust, the Foodbank offers 3 day emergency food parcels to those within our community who have been referred to us by the Social Services or other frontline agencies.

By working with referring agencies the Foodbank is directing much needed help to families who are struggling to put food on the table. For people on low incomes, facing redundancy, coping with the affects of benefit changes and delays or even an unexpected bill, Stockport Foodbank can now provide emergency food and support to local people in crisis, helping them through their times of difficulty.

Stockport Foodbank is based at 7 centres, Hazel Grove Baptist Church, St Mark’s Bredbury, St Martin's in Heaton Norris, The Bairstow Centre in Reddish, St Philips in Offerton, Trinity Church Cheadle and the Salvation Army, Cheadle Heath.

We are open 6 days a week and our opening times are on the Foodbank website www.stockport.foodbank.org.uk
